    Why tour with Us?

Quality: When we say that we guarantee you a qualitative service, we don’t just mean a service that is “value-for-money” but a service that makes you a part of the place you’re visiting with us. In this tour, as we take you to the areas in Kathmandu and Pokhara that are gifted significantly by nature, you will feel a torrent of connectivity with every step you take. We do this by allowing you to get as local as you can get to understand the place more. And, when it comes to nature, you will enjoy it, even more, when you can connect to its calmness.

Giving Back to the Community: While exploring nature, just being responsible will benefit the surrounding community to a degree beyond our imagination. By responsible, we mean not littering and going with the flow of nature. Likewise, as we would be walking, we are bound to reach new places and meet new people. Talking to them, and accepting their services will help them alleviate their problems. We believe it is the little actions that benefit a community and thus, we encourage you to do so.

    1. Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted and escorted to your accommodation. There, you will be briefed about your upcoming trip and offered several alternatives for how to spend your time in Kathmandu.

We recommend strolling through Thamel’s streets, picking up some souvenirs, and dining on distinctive specialties such as momo, yomari, or a traditional Nepali khana set. Kathmandu is not just known for its scenery, but also for its cuisine.

    2. Day 2 Scenic Mountain flight to the Everest region by a fixed-wing aircraft Hike to Shivapuri National Reserve up to Nagi Monastery

Early in the morning, you will board a mountain flight to experience something extremely worthwhile. This flight will last from 45 minutes up to one hour and the plane will take off from Kathmandu airport domestic terminal. The flight will cover at least 20 highest peaks of the Everest and Langtang regions including Mt. Everest (8848.86m) and Mt. Lhotse (8516m). This flight not only gives an opportunity to see the beautiful mountains but also allows you to glance at the beautiful geography of the two most extreme mountain regions of Nepal. You will have a guaranteed window seat to enjoy the mesmerizing view of the mountains.

We will return back to Kathmandu on the same flight and after some rest, we will head to our new destination: Shivapuri National Reserve. Till we reach the beginning of the hiking trail, we will cover the distance in a vehicle. Upon arrival at the hiking trail, we will commence our hike and make our way to the Shivapuri National Reserve. At an altitude of 2,732 meters, this reserve is home to some extremely endangered species like the clouded leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Jungle Cat, Barking Deer, and Assamese monkey. From there, we will retrace our trail and arrive at the Nagi monastery situated at an altitude of 2,330 meters. This monastery will provide us with an amazing view of the Kathmandu valley. With sculptures, prayer flags, bells, and bajras, this monastery is the best place for us to offer our exhausted bodies some rest.

    3. Day 3 A day at the Chandragiri

Today is the “Chandragiri Hill – Day Tour”. As bold as it sounds, today is a day of joy and contentment. The maximum altitude we will reach today is 2,540 meters. But before that, we will board a vehicle to reach there. It will be early in the morning with open roads and our destination blazing ahead of us, waiting for us to come. We will ride a cable car to begin our joyous adventure and reach the top of the hill.

At the top, the Valeshwor Mahadev Temple would be waiting for us. We will offer our prayers, and listen to songs and stories from the priests there while enjoying a splendid view of a lush green forest, and mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, and Mt. Langtang. After spending some time, we will walk through the forest as nature cheers for us and reach where we started.

    4. Day 4 Kathmandu- Pokhara via scenic and winding road

Today is a road tour day. On a vehicle that is completely under your command – you can stop wherever you want to and request the driver the desired speed, you will commence your journey to Pokhara. The vehicle naturally departs at around 7 AM to reach Pokhara without any hurdles like a traffic jam. Food will be offered on the way too. There are so many perks of this road tour and various reasons to choose it over a 30-mins flight. A distance of over 200 kilometers and would take around 7 hours, this road tour offers you everything from mesmerizing views of forests and mountains to the poetic sound of the ever-flowing Trishuli river, and a chilling environment would be waiting as you approach Pokhara.

Once you reach Pokhara, you will be taken to your hotel and at night, you can enjoy yourself at the bank of Phewa Lake, or simply walk around the streets and cherish the nightlife.

    5. Day 5 Pokhara- Drive to Phedi- hike to Australian Camp- Enjoy camping or tea house experience

Early in the morning, we will take an hour’s ride to Phedi. Through streets that are embracing the early morning, it would be quite a different scenario on our way. From Phedi (1130 meters), we will hike up to Australian Base Camp. It will take about 2 hours at max to reach there. However, these two hours would pass in no time as we would be accompanied by an awesome environment that would offer us mesmerizing mountain vistas and spectacular panorama views.

The beauty will only expand when we reach the camp as the mountain views of Mt. Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiuchuli, Annapurna South, Mt. Manaslu and many more would be smiling at us.

Also, this hike will offer a rich insight into the lives, history, culture, and religion of the locals. To make it even better, we will stay there either in a tea house or we will bring our tents and camp!

    6. Day 6 Australian Camp to Sarangkot hike sunset view

Today, we will have a slow-paced walk from the Australian camp to Sarangkot. This walk is a great adventure for mountain beauty lovers who want to catch the stunning Himalayan peaks and endless scenery with their eyes. We would only leave the camp after enjoying the morning there. We will talk with the people there and know about the guides and porters. Later, in the afternoon, we will depart for Sarangkot and stay there till we enjoy the amazing view of the sun disappearing at the ends of the world.

We will stay there at night.

    7. Day 7 Sarangkot sunrise view and a day at Kahun Danda

It is not fair to just enjoy the sunset and ignore the sunrise. For that reason, we will wake up early – before the sun and enjoy as the sun lightens up the mountains, making them look like golden peaks. From Sarangkot, we will make our way to one of the amazing hill stations of Nepal, Kahun Danda. Through a beautiful Gurung village, we will make it to the hill station.

From Kahun Danda, we can see an extremely lush forest and mountains of the Langtang, and Annapurna regions. We will also visit the Kahun Kot Deurali Temple and spend the rest of the day there.

Later in the evening, we will retrace our steps and from Sarangkot, we will board a vehicle and make our way to our hotel near the lakeside.

    8. Day 8 Pokhara- Phewa lake, Begnss lake

Today we spend our day relishing the shape and sound of the water of the two most beautiful lakes in Nepal: Phewa Lake and Beganas Lake. We will enjoy the sunrise from the bank of the Phewa Lake and the sunset from the bank of the Begnas Lake.

Both of these lakes offer a panoramic view of the mountains, especially the mountains of the Annapurna and Langtang regions. At Phewa Lake, we will also have the benefit of boating. We can even enjoy food and drink near the lake with its view right in front of us.

Begnas Lake, on the other hand, is a freshwater lake that acts as the footprints of the mountains with its reflections. After enjoying the sunset there, we will have a pleasant walk to our hotel and rest.

    9. Day 9 Pokhara- Kathmandu

Today we depart from Pokhara. You can choose to fly (you have to tell us that beforehand as we have to book the tickets) or enjoy the road tour again.

Once we reach Kathmandu, we will enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine, buy some souvenirs and cry for the sake of our memories (you can leave that to us!).

    10. Day 10 Departure

Three hours before the flight, we will take you to the airport and split our ways. Departure, indeed, is always difficult, but we know it won’t be our last farewell. We would be waiting for you to come again.

I am asthmatic, and can’t climb high, where can I tour?

It is best to consult your home physician first. However, the major places of interest in Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Pokhara, and Sarangkot lie below 3000 meters, and are accessible by vehicles, so it is possible to tour around major places of interest.

How far I can tour since I have limited mobility?

Most of the tour destinations are accessible by vehicles and for such travelers, special care, as well as walking pace, will be taken care of by our own experienced guides. We do not recommend long and continuous walks and recommend short one instead. Still, we recommend you know your limit and consult your physician.

Are jungle safaris safe for children?

Yes, our safaris are safe and you can take your children. Before heading to the wild you are briefed about the program. Still, when you are in the wild, your way is often crossed by wild animals but our experienced local nature guides will advise accordingly.

Are there good clinics and hospitals?

Absolutely, there are good hospitals and dedicated travelers clinics in Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara. Should you need medical attention in rural areas, priority will be given to the closest health facilities, and will be referred to further treatment in well-equipped facilities depending on the cases.

Yes, Elite Explorer uses all government-licensed guides who are highly trained in their field. It depends on your preferences. Can be fully guided but once the guide is done for the day, you will have your private time to spend. A cultural tour guide may have skills in culture and history but may lack the knowledge of deep jungles, and the nature guide may not have the skills to lead your walk or hike in the mountains. Thus, there may be different guides for different kinds of tours.
