Tiger Tracking at Bardia National Park
fromWith a 968 sq km size, Bardia National Park is the biggest park in Nepal’s lowlands. The park was created to preserve tigers, their prey species, and their ecosystems. A trip to Nepal’s Bardia National Park is made all the more memorable by the existence of one of the last known herds of wild elephants in South Asia, in addition to the park’s sizable and intact habitat area and remote location.
The largest variety of deer species in Nepal may also be found in Bardia. The park is home to six different types of deer, including the Chital or Spotted Deer, which is known for its ubiquitous white spots on a brown coat, the Hog Deer, which is similar to the Chital but smaller, the Sambhar, which is the largest deer on the Indian subcontinent and has thick antlers, the Swamp Deer, the Barasingha, and the park’s smallest deer, the reddish-colored Barking Deer.
Other large mammals include the Gaur, the largest wild ox in the world, the agile sloth bear, a shaggy black bear with a distinctive white V on its chest, the blue bull or nilgai, the largest antelope on the Indian subcontinent, and the Himalayan tahr. Wild boar is an omnivorous creature with a black coat and large tusks.
Three species of cats (jungle, leopard, and fishing) as well as the langur monkey, rhesus macaque, jackal, yellow-throated marten, mongoose, and Indian otter are examples of small mammals. The Karnali, Girwa, and Babai Rivers are home to two types of crocodiles: the fish-eating gharial with its long, thin snout, and the blunt-snouted marsh mugger. The Gangetic freshwater dolphin and these species share the same body of water. The giant mahseer, a prized catch for fishers that can weigh up to 90 lbs, is also supported by the Karnali.
The best season to explore Bardia is during Spring and Autumn. If you can tolerate some hotness in nature, summer is a good option too but rain can make it tough.

Why safari with Us?
Quality: For us, luxury and a feeling of social connectedness go hand in hand with quality. Thus, with this excursion, we can guarantee you that you won’t just be exploring Bardia but getting connected with it. As a result, we have designed this trip so that you will not only enjoy the scenery but also make lifelong friendships with us and the locals who live close to the Bardia National Park.
Giving back to the community: Nepal has been more widely accepted but it has not yet been completely explored. Nepal is proud of its people, history, and origin in addition to its mountains, and we Nepalese commemorate these things by celebrating our existence. We, therefore, expect that this journey will help to raise awareness of the areas of the nation that have been visited but not yet thoroughly explored for their foundation. Likewise, being responsible while walking through the forests will help the neighborhood in ways we can’t even imagine. Simply, refraining from littering and following the lead of wildlife will be enough to propagate your positive energy into the wildlife of Bardia.
