    Why safari with Us?

Quality: For us, luxury and a feeling of social connectedness go hand in hand with quality. Thus, with this excursion, we can guarantee you that you won’t just be exploring Bardia but getting connected with it. As a result, we have designed this trip so that you will not only enjoy the scenery but also make lifelong friendships with us and the locals who live close to the Bardia National Park.

Giving back to the community: Nepal has been more widely accepted but it has not yet been completely explored. Nepal is proud of its people, history, and origin in addition to its mountains, and we Nepalese commemorate these things by celebrating our existence. We, therefore, expect that this journey will help to raise awareness of the areas of the nation that have been visited but not yet thoroughly explored for their foundation. Likewise, being responsible while walking through the forests will help the neighborhood in ways we can’t even imagine. Simply, refraining from littering and following the lead of wildlife will be enough to propagate your positive energy into the wildlife of Bardia.

    1. Day 1 Arrival

We will welcome you as you step into Kathmandu. The journey would have taken some tolls on you, so will leave you to rest, and later on, we will brief you about the journey.

    2. Day 2 Kathmandu- Nepalgunj- Drive to Bardia National Park

Since a road trip to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu is very long, we will use the air to travel. Well, airplanes offer something buses or jeeps don’t – an aerial view of the land, rivers, lakes, forests, and everything. Enjoying them, we will reach Nepalgunj and drive to the Barida National Park.

    3. Day 3 Wildlife Adventure

We begin by rafting down the Karnali river. Rafting in the Karnali river is more than simply an adventurous activity — it’s a fantastic way to see the water wildlife of Bardia Nationalpark and to spot birds. Various birds can be spotted on the Karnali bank in the early morning, while during the midday hours, numerous muggers and gharials can be seen sunbathing on various Karnali corners. Similarly, in the evening, we can spot a variety of antelope and predators along the banks of the Karnali River.

Once we are done with rafting, we will have lunch, take some rest, and head for our next adventure. We will go for an elephant safari. If you don’t intend to do it, we can visit the elephant breeding center. Bardia’s Elephant breeding center has smaller huts and mostly the stories are verbal, even then you’d need to know the local language to hear the stories of Tiger attacks and elephants, which is where a guide will come in super handy.

    4. Day 4 Wildlife Adventure

We begin our expedition today by traveling through the thick jungle. It is the ideal method of exploring Bardia National Park. The best for the environment are the forest walks. You can wade across rivers and wander through dense woodlands where monkeys play if you join a full-day journey into Bardia’s deep forest.

This national park’s attractions include Bengal tigers, uncommon types of animals, and birds. Tiger sightings are extremely uncommon, but as the tiger population has grown, many people and even visitors have spotted tigers. Even though tiger attacks are extremely uncommon, it is advised that anyone visiting Bardia National Park on foot hire a guide.

By the time we complete our walk, we would be pretty much exhausted. So to lighten ourselves, we will go to the crocodile breeding center. Bardia is densely populated in terms of Crocs, and its number is reportedly increasing every year. Mugger and Fish-eating Gharials are definitely some of the rarest alligators found in parts of Nepal and India, and Bardia’s crocodile breeding center gives us the opportunity to have a look at them closely.

    5. Day 5 Wildlife Adventure- Jeep Safari

Early in the morning we will hop in a jeep and start our much-awaited safari. Jeep Safari is an amazing and easier way to get deep into Bardia National Park. A full-day tour in Jeep will offer us plenty of opportunities to visit watchtowers and wildlife watering holes. We would be volunteering to collect litter and waste others left in the park and bring them with us, to compensate for the noise they made while taking a jeep safari into the jungle. Just a payback to our beautiful nature!

After the safari, we will enjoy the sunset at the bank of the Karnali river and relax our bodies and souls.

    6. Day 6 Dolphin sighting

Our final day in Bardia will test our patience and indeed offer us joyous memories. We’ll take a boat ride to see Nepal’s stunning river dolphins. Only a few rivers in South Asia are home to the extremely uncommon Ganges River Dolphins. Even when the mouth is closed, their teeth can be seen in the upper and lower jaws, and they are blind.

Once we have seen some dolphins, we will return back and go to visit the Sonaha community where we will interact with the local people and try to learn something new about the Tharu culture and lifestyle. In the evening we will go to see the cultural dance program conducted by the Tharu community. We will also visit the Tharu Museum and get along with its rich history and culture.

    7. Day 7 Bardia- Nepalgunj- Flight back to Kathmandu

From Bardia, we will head to Nepalgunj and there we will board our flight and arrive in Kathmandu. You will certainly be tired and exhausted by the time we reach Kathmandu, so, we will leave you to rest.

    8. Day 8 Departure

After exploring Barida, we know your explorer soul won’t stay quiet and we have our set of tricks to trigger it and make you come back to embark on other wonderful journeys. But, until then, we will part ways!

It is very safe to travel around Nepal. The crime rate is low and people are extremely hospitable here. Even world-renowned vloggers like Sam Chui, Harald Baldr among others have visited Nepal and have talked highly about the safety of the country.

Are accommodations safe, can I choose my own?

Elite Explorer chooses its accommodation based on its high safety record and service quality. However, if you wish to choose your own accommodation you can simply let us know, and our team will access such accommodation from various sources and advise you accordingly.

I am asthmatic, and can’t climb high, where can I tour?

It is best to consult your home physician first. However, the major places of interest in Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Chitwan, Pokhara, and Sarangkot lie below 3000 meters, and are accessible by vehicles, so it is possible to tour around major places of interest.

How far I can tour since I have limited mobility?

Most of the tour destinations are accessible by vehicles and for such travelers, special care, as well as walking pace, will be taken care of by our own experienced guides. We do not recommend long and continuous walks and recommend short one instead. Still, we recommend you know your limit and consult your physician.

Are jungle safaris safe for children?

Yes, our safaris are safe and you can take your children. Before heading to the wild you are briefed about the program. Still, when you are in the wild, your way is often crossed by wild animals but our experienced local nature guides will advise accordingly.

Are there good clinics and hospitals?

Absolutely, there are good hospitals and dedicated travelers clinics in Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara. Should you need medical attention in rural areas, priority will be given to the closest health facilities, and will be referred to further treatment in well-equipped facilities depending on the cases.

Absolutely, you can. If you need any help or suggestion please feel free. Furthermore, we will provide you with one departure vehicle to the airport if you are in central Kathmandu.

Is your guide licensed? Will it be the same guide for all destinations?

Yes, Elite Explorer uses all government-licensed guides who are highly trained in their field. It depends on your preferences. Can be fully guided but once the guide is done for the day, you will have your private time to spend. A cultural tour guide may have skills in culture and history but may lack the knowledge of deep jungles, and the nature guide may not have the skills to lead your walk or hike in the mountains. Thus, there may be different guides for different kinds of tours.

Choosing a local company is hard, are you a registered company?

Yes, Elite Explorer is registered Private Limited Company at the Company Registrar Office Tripureshwor Registration number 289833/78/79 registered at Inland Revenue Department Koteshwor for taxation, Nepal Government Tourism Department Valley Tourism Office Hattiban Lalitpur for Tour and Trekking license, Kathmandu Metropolitan 32 ward Office local government, Small and Cottage Industry Tripureshwor under Ministry of Industry and Nepal Central Bank Baluwatar.
