Everest View Trek is a great option for anyone looking for a short and simple climb in Nepal’s Everest region. In just seven days, one may savor the magnificence of Mt. Everest with this expedition. Travelers will find it to be a well-traveled and well-marked trail.

This journey begins with a flight to Lukla Airport, like other Everest climbs, and then follows the main route to base camp. On the approach to Phakding, the trail descends to the Dudhkoshi River before ascending with spectacular vistas of hills, woods, and distant mountains. From Phakding, the trail continues to Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The forest is a large conservation area in Nepal’s Everest region, home to rhododendron woods, pine forests, and an abundance of animals, leading to Namche Bazaar, a bustling market and the largest Sherpa settlement in the Everest region. Following Namche, we’ll go to beautiful Sherpa settlements such as Monjo, Jorsale, and others.

On this Everest View Trek, we can take in the breathtaking vistas of mountains from wherever we are on the trail. From Namche Bazaar, the mountain views become more prominent.
We can take advantage of the town’s vivacity in Namche. The town’s marketplaces, cyber cafés, lodges, restaurants, and tiny streets are very lovely. In a similar line, the Sherpa town is a good place to learn about the Sherpa people. We’ll be astounded by their manner of life, the geographical challenges they confront, and how they manage to keep a beautiful grin despite these hardships.

In essence, the Sherpa people’s courteous hospitality throughout the walk is an attraction that has astounded many fellow travelers, and we are convinced that it will astonish you as well. As we trek up to the Everest View Hotel, the peaks appear to tower out over the sky directly in front of our eyes.

The Everest View Trek allows us to experience both the raw beauty of the mountains and the mystical spirit of Buddhism. Mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Tawache, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Ama Dablam, Kusum Kanguru, and others can be appreciated for their beauty. Similarly, we pass through magnificent Sherpa communities like Monjo, which serves as an entrance to the Everest Base Camp, as well as stupas and Mani walls decorated with colorful prayer flags.

Altogether, the Everest View Trek is notable for its friendly Sherpa people, diverse cultures and traditions, picturesque towns, colorful festivals, and monasteries, as well as its proximity to the world’s highest mountain. This trek will give you a thorough understanding of Sherpa culture without putting you through the hardships of high-altitude trekking.

    Why Trek with us?

    Quality:

Quality, to us, means not only luxury but also a sense of social connectedness. We guarantee this connection. We have designed the Everest View Trek such that we not only walk the trail but also create memories with us and the locals. We’ll meet folks, snap pictures, share food, and make ourselves at home.

The stories of Sherpa, the sincerity of the monks at the monasteries, and the innocence of the kids playing in the snowy streets will uplift your state of mind more than the walking we would be doing on this trek.

    Giving back to the community:

Elite Explorer is a product of the Nepalese communities that directly or indirectly contribute to the trekking industry of this country gifted with elite mountains. We are not just travelers or trekkers but explorers who intend to give back something – even if it’s the very least of any form of contributions to the settlements, villages, and trails we walk past on our journey of the Everest View Trek.

For this trek, we will volunteer or manage a team that can help monks at Namche learn English. You may even join our team to help us teach. Likewise, we will help clean the nearby places at Namche Bazaar and donate some first aid kits to the medical clinics, stationery items and books to students at schools there, and food items to the locals throughout the trail.

We will also record the unheard tales about Everest and the culture that flows there as we believe that the Everest region shouldn’t just be commercialized through its mountains, but also the locals and their stories that have been staying there for years.

    1. Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the centrally located hotel

You’ll enjoy great views of the city, the Himalayas, and the terraced farms below as you fly into Kathmandu. After clearing customs, a representative will greet you and help you settle into your hotel by guiding you through the culture shock of Kathmandu’s small, winding streets.

The tourist hub of Thamel is a good site to eat your first meal in the evening, with a selection of eateries serving both Western and indigenous Nepali cuisine.

    2. Day 02 Kathmandu; Trekking Orientation and guide introduction with a last-minute shopping trekking essentials (trekking poles, trousers, warmers, etc)

Early in the morning, if we choose to, we will visit some nearby temples including Vikramshila Mahavihara Temple, and Tridevi Temple, and spend some time there. Upon doing so, we will make our way back to the hotel, and have our breakfast. We will gather in a hall and do a detailed orientation of our trek that will start on another day. Our experts will help you prepare for the trek and we will have a storytelling session where our experts and past clients will share their experiences of the Everest View Trek. As we finish these, we will move around the streets of Thamel and Ason and do some shopping, have some MoMo or Newar snacks, and return to the hotel.

    3. Day 03 Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) by air, 40 mins; Trek to Phakding (2610) 3-4 hours

Today we will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla on a thrilling flight (2827m). After 40 minutes, we will touch down on the runway of Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, one of the world’s most perilous airports. We’ll meet up with the rest of our team and begin the trek to Phakding from there.

We’ll go down to the Dudh Koshi River, where we’ll join the main Namche Bazaar trail. We’ll shortly arrive at Phakding after passing across the tiny Ghat (2550m) area.

It’s important to keep in mind that the weather in Lukla is always changing and unpredictable. The flight may be delayed or canceled due to inclement weather. We may have to return to the hotel if the flight is canceled. However, you will have the option of flying to Lukla in a reserved helicopter.

    4. Day 04 Trek from Phakding to Namche (3500m), 6-7 hours

Today we will trek to Namche Bazaar, Nepal’s largest sherpa village. Our trail leads us first across the Dudhkoshi River on a huge suspension bridge, then through a lovely pine forest to Monjo, which is about two hours away. Soon after, we’ll arrive at the Sagarmatha National Park entry for a quick permit check before descending to the Dudh Kosi River, where we’ll see Mani stones along the route to Jorsale. To go to Namche, we’ll take an upward path. Two river bridges surround our way down the riverbank, one of which is the Hillary Suspension Bridge. It’ll be a rough hike up the hill to our sleeping spot, but we’ll be rewarded with our first look at Everest in all its glory in Namche Bazaar.

    5. Day 05 Visit Everest view hotel(3880m) and lunch with the view of Everest, 1 hour

We got up early to trek up to the Everest View Hotel, which is approximately an hour’s hike above Namche and has a spectacular view of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We’ll have lunch and rest for the day on Everest’s laps.

We can also continue the walk to the traditional Sherpa settlements of Khunde and Khumjung if you choose. If you have the opportunity, ask your guide to take you to the Khumjung Monastery, which contains the alleged Yeti’s scalp. We return to Namche through the little airfield at Syangboche after leaving the villages. (This hike will take about 2 hours.)

    6. Day 06 Namche trek to Manjo, 5 hours

By way of Jorsale village, we’ll descend from Namche to Manjo. The trail winds its way through the dense forest, with various ups and downs. A steep descent leads us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, which we cross to exit Sagarmatha National Park.

The Sagarmatha National Park, which was established to safeguard and conserve the delicate Himalayan ecosystem, has its entrance in Manjo. We’ll also spend time at the National Park.

    7. Day 07 Manjo – Trek back to Lukla, 5-6 hours

Many tiny monasteries and painted Mani walls line the trail from Monjo to Lukla. We descend to Chauri Kharka through Phakding, passing through several small Sherpa towns and over the suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi and Bhotekoshi. The trek’s final ascent is from Chauri Kharka to Lukla, which is difficult. When we arrive in Lukla, we can relax for a little before taking a trip through the village and listening to the locals’ stories.

    8. Day 08 Lukla fly back to Kathmandu, 40 mins

After breakfast, we will board an early morning flight to Kathmandu. Before landing in Kathmandu, the 40-minute flight provides us with another overhead glimpse of the high mountains and green hills.

Our team will be waiting for you at the airport in Kathmandu to bring you to your accommodation. When you get to Kathmandu, you can rest and refresh in the hotel. In the evening, we’ll accompany you on a tour of Thamel’s gorgeous streets before saying our goodbyes with a delicious meal.

    9. Day 09 Departure to your next destination

Today we will part ways. We will drop you at the airport, three hours before your scheduled flight. Before that, we will offer you our merchandise and a few tokens of love to embark on the memories we shared till time immemorial. Nonetheless, we will be looking forward to seeing you again.

How many hours do we trek each day?

We will trek for six hours on average, but depending on the region you trek in, you might go for nine hours straight, including breaks for meals.

What transportation will it be to the trekking starting point?

Depending on the trekking region, either private transportation or air travel will be used.

Can I leave the things behind before heading for trekking?

Yes, we’ll tag your bag and keep it at your accommodation until you get back. Likewise, you should travel as lightly as possible when trekking.

Is it very cold in Kathmandu on my arrival?

There are four seasons and 300 days of sunshine in Nepal. As a result, Kathmandu’s lowest recorded temperature is -3 degrees Celsius, or 26.6 degrees Fahrenheit. However, while trekking, the temperature may drop to -13 degrees Fahrenheit or -25 degrees Celsius. For more details on what to pack and bring please contact your dedicated travel consultant or you can also contact us via E-mail.

Do I need to be extra careful of altitude sickness?

Our itineraries are made to give you plenty of time for acclimatization, reducing the likelihood that you will have altitude sickness. Every evening before or after dinner, our extremely knowledgeable guide will give us a briefing for the following day’s trekking, including instructions to prevent altitude sickness over 3500 meters. You must notify our guide right away if you have shortness of breath, headache, exhaustion, nausea, vomiting, a rapid heartbeat, or insomnia since altitude sickness can be fatal.

How many kg of bag pack am I allowed to carry?

The greatest option is usually to trek light. The best-recommended backpack weight is 10 kg for trekking bags and 5 kg for carry-on luggage because one must also include basics. (It also serves as the flight to Lukla’s weight restriction.)

Will there be a porter to carry my bag pack apart from the guide?

Yes, a porter will assist you in carrying the trekking backpack packs.

Can you tell me about the food in the mountains?

Most of the food is freshly prepared, but meats may have been stored for a while. Freshly prepared Daal and Bhat, a staple of traditional Nepali cuisine, are the finest.

How basic are tea houses, can I shower every day?

A basic bed, private or shared bathrooms, cold water in the absence of electricity or sunlight, charging the wifi battery, and the absence of a room heater. This is how simple tea houses seem. Further, during the cold winter, the water freezes in the pipe leaving no running water. As mentioned earlier, having a hot shower (or bucket full of hot water)  is feasible in most tea houses, however, if unfavorable circumstances like an electricity cut-off occur, you may have to wait to take a hot shower.

Is there wifi or cellular signals in the mountains?

In the tea houses along the trails, there is wifi, however, the signal strength and speed may not be as advertised. On request, Team Elite Explorer will provide you with a local sim card for data subscription.

How about power, will there be charging points?

There will, in fact, be charging ports. Be considerate when charging your electronics as tea houses provide shelter for other hikers as well.

In case of medical issues, how will I get assistance?

Our guide will evaluate the case according to its seriousness, seek advice from the office as necessary, and then decide on the spot whether to transport the patient to the nearest medical facilities or call for help. When trekking in Nepal, kindly make sure to have comprehensive travel medical insurance.

Can 3 years and 80 plus age trek in the mountains?

Every age group can find the ideal trekking trails in Nepal. So every one of any age can hike in the mountains. When working with infants and the elderly, we take extra precautions both in the planning of the itineraries and on the ground.

Lastly, how fit should I be for trekking?

For the trek, you need to be both physically and mentally prepared. The outcome of your adventure entirely rests on you. We advise selecting the trekking routes based on your degree of fitness. There is little doubt that shorter routes are simpler than longer ones. A higher level of fitness will be needed for the longer treks. So, try to be in top physical shape.
